Big Life. Big Dreams. Big Trap.

My dad never said,“Beta, I’m emotionally exhausted. I need a break.”
My grandfather didn’t “burn out.”He just… slept and woke up and lived.
So what exactly are we recovering from?
The New Full-Time Job: Existing
Today we’re tired even before work starts. Why?
Because we never stop working—not our bodies, not our brains, not even our thumbs.
Slack at night.WhatsApp during dinner.Emails that begin with “Quick question” and end your will to live.
And after surviving this circus, we reward ourselves with…subscriptions that drain us further.
Netflix. Instagram. Meditation apps that remind you to relax—which is stressful because now you’re failing at relaxing.
That ₹299/month isn’t just money. It’s your sleep, patience, and sanity.
Notifications: The Silent Killers
Notifications don’t scream anymore. They tap you gently—like a toxic friend.
Just one reel.Just one scroll.Just one post about someone living their “best life.”
Next thing you know:
You slept at 2 AM
Woke up angry
Snapped at your child
Fought with the maid
Drove like the road personally insulted you
And you still don’t know why you’re irritated.
The Toilet Is No Longer a Safe Space
Even going to the loo alone with your thoughts is illegal now.
Phone. Scroll. Consume.
Silence feels uncomfortable.Peace feels boring.Thinking feels like effort.
So we don’t think. We just react.
Overfed Minds, Underslept Humans
We feed our brains nonstop junk—reels, rage, opinions, fake success stories—and then wonder why our ego is huge and our patience is zero.
So we:
argue faster
judge harder
post for validation
pretend we “don’t care”
We’re not mindful. We’re just mentally constipated.
Not Anti-Tech. Just Anti-Stupid.
This isn’t about quitting social media or becoming a monk.
Use it. Enjoy it.But see the trap.
We’re chasing a life we don’t have,to escape the life we’re not even living.
Running very fast.Towards somewhere. With no idea why.
Maybe we don’t need more breaks.Maybe we need fewer notifications.
Maybe peace isn’t something you download.Maybe it’s something you stop leaking.
And maybe loving today—without posting about it—is the most savage flex left.
